Dr. Donald Phillips is new to the Atlanta area and comes with a wealth of clinical knowledge and a diverse background of work experiences. While serving on active duty as a Navy oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Phillips had the opportunity to perform a wide range of procedures in large clinics, naval hospitals, and even on an aircraft carrier.
Dr. Phillips was very fortunate to be stationed in the continental U.S. on both coasts and serve overseas in Hawaii and Spain. The wide array of challenges and experiences allowed Dr. Phillips to grow personally and professionally, which helps him relate to all types of patients, as well as strengthen his ability to treat many different oral surgery issues.
Dr. Phillips graduated from The Medical University of South Carolina dental school in 1999 and received his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) training at the Medical College of Virginia from 1999-2003.
Dr. Phillips is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS), and is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) and the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (ACOMS).
Dr. Phillips has been married to his wife Susie for 22 years and they have five children ranging in age from 18 years old to one year old. In his free time, which as you can imagine is rare, Dr. Phillips enjoys travel, golf, and exercising.
Dr. Phillips is very dedicated to providing excellent care to all his patients and is excited for the opportunity to meet new patients, to help them with their concerns, and provide them with education to promote improved health.
